Release Notes Version 5.0.8 03/10/2016
The following fixes and enhancements were implemented in Web Simple Records Manager Version 5.0.8 released on 03/10/2016.
- Web Simple has been migrated to a new more powerful and efficient server
- The Files Destroyed report has been reconfigured to properly list the date of destruction, who authorized, and the destruction method when the files are part of a destroyed box.
- The Boxes Destroyed Report has been revised to allow for a longer string of comments text across the row.
- The Box edit has been updated so when changing a box number, you now receive a warning asking if you also want to change the associated files in that box.
- In the Box list, the Mass Checkout Boxes utility has been enhanced with the ability to filter multiple times to build a select list for mass checkout.
- In the File list, the Mass Checkout Files utility has been enhanced with the ability to filter multiple times to build a select list for mass checkout.
- The Files add and edit screens have been reprogrammed so that entry of fields major, minor, matter no., and ID only allow the appropriate number of characters.
- In File Labels, the file list that appears when selecting the criteria ‘Choose Individual Files’ has been recalibrated to prevent time out errors.
- In Box Labels, the box list that appears when selecting the criteria ‘Choose Individual Boxes’ has been recalibrated to prevent time out errors.
- The Security Wizard has been modified so that users that do not have permission to check out boxes cannot use the Mass Checkout Boxes utility as it is blanked out.

- Clicking About Web Simple at the bottom of any page has always opened a new window with technical support information and our website. Now clicking on the Record Management Software website opens in a new tab (In Internet Explorer this is a new window).
- Functionality of a new version of Web Simple has been augmented with a new versioning feature that automatically clears the to allow for new screens to display and function properly.
- The files edit screen has been reprogrammed to close when completing a check in or check out of a file.
